Well done to Kaylem on winning first place with his beanstalk of a sunflower. Tyler came second and Blane took third place. Even Andy managed to grow a whooper!

Football stars of the future ⚽️

4 of our 6th class boys receiving their well earned medals and the cup for winning the Inner City League.

Mr. McIntyre is devastated to lose these four. Hopefully they don't grow too much over the next year so he can pass them off as 6th class boys again next year!

From left to right: Tunde Williams, Brian McCarthy, Ross Fay, Ben Breslin.

Inner City League Champions!

The Larriers football team are Inner City League champions for 2016 after defeating St. Josephs, Fairview, O'Connell's and Scoil Chiarain.

They defeated Joeys 5-3 and then overcame both O'Connell's and Scoil Chiarain in the space of 24 hours including an epic game against Scoil Chiarain which ended 6-4 to the Larriers.

Captain Ross Fay led by example as usual by winning and scoring three penalties in this game to take his tally for the season to a remarkable 14 goals in 10 games!

It was a great end to a year in which the Larriers came so close in many competitions. Narrowly losing semi-finals in the Gaelic, the 5 a side, the football league. Also bowing out to eventual winners of the cup, Scoil Mhuire of Lucan.

A massive thanks to all our outgoing 6th class boys Ross Fay, Ben Breslin, Lee Franzone, Tunde Williams, Brian McCarthy, Justin Anene and Patrick Ganon who were excellent all year and we wish them all the best in their future careers.

Sun Flower Competition 2015

Well done Evan and Ross on some impressive looking sunflowers.

The Larriers are Victorious!!

It's official, the Larriers have brought home the glory!! The boys in 6th class have won the table quiz for the One Book One Community project.
Before we get into some more showboating let us tell you a bit more about the project.
One Book One Community is an innative run by the home school liason teachers in the North Inner City. Pupils in 6th class and in first year from 19 schools all read the same book as well as parents in the community too. This project has been taking place for over 5 years now and is a great success. This year we all read the book 'The Blue Horse' by Marita Conlon McKenna. The book explores themes such as predjudice and a sense of home and belonging and is told through the story of Kaite Connors, a 12 year old traveller. It proved to be a very popular novel and we were even lucky enough to have the author Marita speak at the opening and closing ceremonies.
Back to the good news ........ The brainbox team comprising of Dane, Ben, Adam and Callum narrowly beat off the competition to take home the trophy for the Larriers. This is the first time we have won at the quiz and the trophy will be proudly displayed in our reception area.
