Larrier’s Cooking Club – March 2013

Séan

We made quesadillas in cookery class which are Mexican wraps filled with melted cheese and ham.  They were very quick to make and I liked using the big knife to chop all the ham and the other ingredients.

I think the cheese and ham wraps that we made in school are nice.  I tried the salsa sauce in class but I didn’t like it as it was too spicy.   My favourite part was cooking the wraps and watching the cheese melt.  I’ve already made them at home with my older sister, we gave one to my brother and he likes them too.

Zombies on the Yard..... the story continues

Following the massive success of the 6th class movie 'Zombies on Yard', the boys have been inspired in all matters gorey.
Here's a tale written by one of our younger Larriers, Seán in 2nd class. Beware however, this tale isn't for the faint hearted!

Zombies on Yard – the Story. By Seán Griffin.

We had a brush and I had a spoon. I ran. Our class ran. I ran into the toilet. My friends got eaten! He is a zombie now. I jumped out of the window. The zombies broke in. I got in a car and went to a gun shop. I got lots of guns and smoke bombs. I threw one out. I ran out as well. There were lots of zombies. I got in a car and drove away but they ran after me…
Part 2:
I went to my flat and got my sister and mother. We drove as quickly as we could. My ma was in the front. I was shooting out the window. We went to Longford and got my brother, Step Mam and Dad. We went out the back and into a field. We stopped for a break but we heard something underground. A head popped up! I broke it’s head. I ran to the car and got into it. We went as far away as we could. We went to Africa.
Part 3:
It was hot. There was no one there. Where was everyone? It went late. We saw a zombie. I shot him. It was a mistake. A big one. There was a lot of zombies. We got in the car. We went out of petrol. We were in a fair. My dad went over and got some petrol. I got out of the car and got a gun but I ran out of bullets really soon. I got on a bus. They were all going for me! Luckily, I had two hand guns.
Part 4:
I started to shoot. My dad said ‘Come on, it’s time to go’. I shouted ‘Go without me!’. ‘Ok, let’s go, I love you’. ‘I love you too, goodbye.’ I told my dad that an hour ago I gave Conor some guns. I was very lucky that I did because I nearly died. Conor jumped out of the car and saved me. Then he ran over all of the zombies. He put me in the back of the car but no one noticed that there were baby zombies. They grew…. And grew…………..
The End.
